Mr. Bruce Ash
The SaddleBrooke Republican Club is not only the largest republican club in Arizona, but in January of this year was named the “Best” Republican club in Arizona by state Republican officials, being recognized for its rapidly growing membership and pro-active programs addressing such issues as illegal immigration and oversight/monitoring of the activities of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.
The mission and purpose of the club is to promote the principles of the Republican Party in SaddleBrooke, working for the election of outstanding Republican candidates for federal, state and local offices, and the dissemination of Republican information throughout SaddleBrooke.
All SaddleBrooke residents are invited to attend the monthly meetings, which feature high profile speakers on issues of interest to the community.
At the May 14, 2008 monthly meeting, Mr. Bruce Ash will speak. Bruce, a native Tucsonan, is a University of Arizona graduate, a successful businessman, and has served on local, national, and international health care and philanthropic organizations. He was a co-founder of the Bank of Tucson, Sun Community Bancorp, Yuma Community Bank, and First California Southern Bancorp. Bruce has held numerous state Republican Party positions since 2004, and he was selected as Arizona Republican Committeeman in June 2007. His stated core values include the following:
National Defense - taking the fight to those who use terror to target Americans
Homeland Security - stronger enforcement at our borders and ports of entry
Protection of Life - supports governmental policies that protect the sanctity of every life
Promoting Enterprise - the greatest impediment to profitable business is over-regulation
Access to Quality Healthcare - medical liability reform and reducing the numbers of uninsured
Size of Government - reducing the size of the federal government and cutting wasteful spending
The meeting will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 4 p.m. in the MountainView Ballroom.
